Out of the entire universe of quotes, this one has always hit me hardest and made me think the longest. We live in a world where we are increasingly led to believe that so much of what we do is largely out of our control; from the pressures of our jobs, the lack of time, stagnant personal growth, unfulfilled passions, the sense of being trapped in a life we cannot change.
A magical by-product of Purpose Planning has been the powerful sense of awareness about the truths of my life. The good and the bad, the strengths and the gaps that need to be improved. By clearly compartmentalizing my life and writing down what I will do within each compartment, I believe that I have started to create the space to consciously choose my response to the stimuli around me. In doing so, I have taken back a little more control over my choices and embraced the powerful sense of empowerment that follows.
